iSpot.tv

INTEGRATE ACE METRIX AND ISPOT.TV Ace Metrix and iSpot had dashboards that were different both visually and in the data they provided. Since I had experience working with Ace’s data, I was tasked with making sure the new visualizations blended in seamlessly with iSpot’s branding and style guide. In order to create less disruption to the end-user we decided to try and keep as much of the original UX as we could while still matching the new design. This would ensure that anyone with access to both products would have a unified experience across the entire application

SINGLE SIGN-ON LOGIN PAGE Following iSpot’s acquisition of Ace Metrix, one of my first tasks was to help seamlessly unite the two brands into one. The first step was to make a login flow where clients from both companies could log in using the same funnel. This was an interesting project because it involved getting approval from both sides of the aisle since iSpot.tv has a very subdued professional look and feel, while Ace Metrix had a more vibrant and colorful branding.

USER FLOW The first step was to work with designers, developers, managers, and other stakeholders from both companies in order to set up a user flow to figure out exactly what each team was building. This helped each team figure out what had to be done and also allowed me to start planning what steps were going to be needed for the user experience.

JOURNEY MAP After a number of iterations, for the final design we decided to go with a large full-screen ad in the background. This was one on the ways we tried to keep the fun aspect that Ace Metrix users were used to while also creating a very clean and polished container for the actual login form. In order to keep the background fresh, the ad displayed changes once a week depending on what the top-scoring ad is for that week. The login form is pushed to the right in order to maximize the visibility of the ad in the background. Following the blueprint I obtained from creating the user flow, I was able to create a mockup for every possible screen that the user may come in contact with.

MICRO INTERACTIONS We focused a lot on the micro interactions that a user might experience while trying to sign in or change their password. Here are some screenshots of how we go about showing a user whether or not their password meets our security criteria as they are typing their new password. This prevents any confusion that might occur if the user isn't aware how secure their password has to be from the start and creates a very streamlined experience.

HERO REDESIGN In 2021, iSpot.tv also underwent a branding guideline overhaul and with that came an opportunity to update the public facing website. As a design team we worked collectively with the VP of Product in order to come up with a hero image that we were all proud of. This was one of my submissions and even though it was not the one we decided to go with it is still my favorite.
